Dr. Ackerman was one of the first 50 doctors ever to be certified in Neuro-Emotional Technique.

Dr. Ackerman's training has led him to be uniquely qualified as a mind-body practitioner. He studied Reichian therapy, based on the work of Wilhelm Reich, M.D., a student of Sigmund Freud. Reich is considered the Father of Body Centered Therapy. Dr. Ackerman continued his education by studying the neo-Reichian therapy, Core Energetics, with its founder, John Pierrakos, M.D., a student of Dr. Reich. At the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, Dr. Ackerman received four years of training in individual and group healing and self-transformative techniques.

"In my current practice, pain relief is often supplemented by my facilitating patients in manifesting what they want for their health, careers, and relationships. This is accomplished with NET by clearing the limiting, unconscious "false beliefs" that were formulated after emotions got stuck in the body following trauma, disappointments and parental conditioning."
