Chiropractic

Dr. Ackerman is skilled in both manual and instrument adjusting, utilizing what best suits each individual patient. Sometimes, this is a combination of both.

We are each unique, and need to be treated uniquely based upon the priorities of the nervous system as revealed by Applied Kinesiology (AK). Through muscle testing, the nervous system signals Dr. Ackerman as to where to make an adjustment and in which direction.

Chiropractic adjustments work with the nervous system, which includes the brain. The nervous system controls the function of every cell, tissue, organ and system in the body. Physical trauma, emotional tension, chemical toxins from food and the environment, infection, and even allergies can all effect the delicate tissues of the spinal cord and nerves resulting in nervous system dysfunction. Adjustments remove any interference to the communication between the brain and the body. The chiropractic approach to optimal health is to detect, reduce and prevent nervous system dysfunction, thereby allowing the body to heal itself.
