Applied Kinesiology
Feedback on the functional status of the body
Dr. Ackerman learned Applied Kinesiology (muscle testing) from its originator, George Goodheart, D.C., in the 1970's. There is an intelligence that runs the body and it can be communicated with through muscle testing. Dr. Goodheart stated, "The body is simply intricate and intricately simple." He discovered the correlations of individual muscles to their corresponding organ/meridian system.
Dr. Goodheart’s pioneering work in the 1960’s led to the birth of many muscle testing techniques, such as Behavioral Kinesiology by John Diamond, M.D., Clinical Kinesiology by Alan Beardall, D.C., Contact Reflex Analysis by R. Versendaal, D.C., Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET) by Scott Walker, D.C., and Psychological Kinesiology (PsyK) by Rob Williams. Dr. Ackerman has incorporated this total body of work, the offspring of Dr. Goodheart’s Applied Kinesiology, into his arsenal of diagnostic and therapeutic tools.
Applied Kinesiology (AK) is both a diagnostic and therapeutic system for obtaining optimal health. Dr. Ackerman has an uncanny ability to muscle test in a gentle and objective manner.
When it comes to what your body requires to heal itself physically and emotionally, there is no greater authority than your body itself. Other than air and water there is no one product, service or diet that is good for all people. We are each unique, and need to be treated uniquely based upon the wishes and priorities of our innate intelligence. The Power that created the human body is the same Power that maintains and heals it.
AK is a method of communicating with the nervous system (brain, spinal cord and millions of nerves) through muscle testing. To the trained practitioner, a temporary reflex weakening of a normally strong muscle reveals the exact source of an illness, injury or imbalance in the body.
